Well worth chasing DVLA if you've not done so already. Had to do this when I bought my Marcos some years ago, the previous V5 was from the late 1980s so had probably been lost in their system somewhere!

D&H Mk IV 8313, KGV 215V (aka George) - 75,000 miles and counting since restoration in 2011.

At last after 16 weeks i have the new v5
and only one owner
the only thing is i have to send it back in november for the historic class

first proper outing 100 mile round trip to llandudno
wipers were hardly touching the window and couldnt see much as it was raining very hard,then drivers wiper fell off just manage to catch it before it dissapered down the dual carrage way,then when it stopped raining the wipers wouldnt turn off,indicators stopped working and at one point carb stuck open at full revs.
so all in all a normal drive out in a kit car LOVED IT
