Hello: There is an orange mini midas for sale in my area. What's the chances..... I would like to go see it later in the week. What do folks think of the Midas cars? Not as cool as a Mini marcos but fun in a different way. Price seems good also Robin |

See the Complete Kit Car Magazine this month, where a 7 page article explains the history of the Midas and it's predesessor Minimarcos. There are pictures where the backend and fronts are being cutoff a minimarcos in the very early stages of development. So may be Midas doensn't have the same pedigree, but is certainly is becoming a classic.
Quality wise I must say, the grp on the Midasses is very thick. These are very practical cars to throw around, if a bit heavier. For my length, I prefer long journeys in a Midas to a minimarcos where the roofline was just that little bit higher. But don't take that serious, it's just personal experience. May be I haven't got a ride in the right minimarcos!
Have a look, take a seat and see if a Midas works for you! |
