Hi all
After 6 years I am approaching the end of the rebuild of my car. I would like to include the racing number lights that were on the side and roof of the lemans cars. Does anybody know who made them Machal or Lucas possibly? |

They are Lucas L534 lights.
There are a few different glass lenses for them though, some are clear others have varying degrees of frosting. |

What about the spot/fog lights on the '66 car? |

Wow, indeed it does, quite amazing. Mini Marcos cars look far more desirable to me than they did 10 or 20 years ago, I don't know if it's my age or the way the shape of new cars has gone, other classic cars do the same to me as well, and clearly with the prices they fetch now, others feel exactly the same way.

Thanks Stuart I hope my car is true to the classic theme thus the questions on lighting details.
I have tried to gather up parts that were in the original Marcos literature SPQR shift (extended for the marcos) and throttle pedal, Cosmic steering wheel (with metal outer not wood) maserati horns etc and others that are true to the period including a good dose of original speedwell gear, a mk1 1275 s engine for the track and an essentially standard 970s engine for the road.
We started constructing and installing the wiring harness last week using one of the abingdon works mini's that we rewired last year as a reference point for materials structure and electrical components and I want to try to marry this up with electrical accessories that were used in a marcos in 66 or 67. |
