Dont feel to bad, I live locally to the seller, sent an email within 10 mins of it being listed and a text, placed a bid and then it was withdrawn from sale without even getting the chance to see it or bid, the joys of bad ebayers !! |

Reality is, these earlier restoration project cars are relatively cheap and are now being bought up, stockpiled for racing.
Top race prepared Cooper S with decent provenance is £45/50K with average cars £25/30k. Marcos racer project is the way a lot of folks are looking. |

Congratulations on your purchase, I hope the build goes well. I just get fed up with people removing items from an auction when I have bid, not your fault, I guess I'll try the direct approach from now on.

Hi SimonI have tried to buy a couple like yourself but when bidding on them the advert was ended .I got really fed up so decided to go direct and paid an asking price which may be the way forward but i do feel bad for people like you simon as i have been there .I had a Marcos in the seventies and always wanted another as i had to sell this particular one mortgage, new child arriving etc and always regretted it and at the present have a 1275gt Mini and quite a few Morris Minors. |

Firstly Simon i havent sold the car and secondly i have never written to you !.I offered you the car for exactly what i had paid for it but after this outburst i will definately be keeping it and restoring it .I also may add i have been in hospital for six days so i dont know where you have recieved your information from about a sale.I dont think a friendly forum is the place to wrongly accuse someone or blacken there character !. |

It's now on. The seller has put 12 pictures on ebay, not one showing the whole car and none of the rear! Obviously D&H. We'll have to get the body number if possible. |

It's possible, although we don't keep deleted messages. This isn't facebook you know! Anyway I have no intention of doing so. So please sort out any problems/misunderstandings off the forum and be nice to each other. |
