Well I have moved house with all the upheaval and trauma that involves. Unfortunatly I have no garage space at the new house, so I had to move LUR to a parking space at work! I actually got to drive her though which was an experience! It did throw up a few things to sort out before I take her to the MOT station. The major problem was the rear tyres rubbing on the wheel arch edges when the suspension compressed over bumps. So a re-think on the rear ride height ( a few more washers on the trumpets I think), re-track the front wheels, adjust the headlights etc etc... |

If the ride height is too low check the rubber cones, and in particular the steel ring round the wide end. Also check the knuckle joint and replace if worn. I recommend fitting Adjusta-Rides or similar so that you can raise the suspension if you're carrying a heavy load or driving on rough roads. With unmodified trumpets the ride height is normally too high, but yours have probably been shortened previously. |
